I have been a professional roofer for 38 years started on schools then worked my way on to ministry of defence. Now I just enjoy doing domestic and commercial roofs.
Avoid Wayne from Blackwell Roofing. He quoted £380 based on photos, then came to view the job from the ground—no proper inspection. He later climbed a ladder with no safety gear, started tearing down fascia, then suddenly claimed the job was £1,600. When I asked him to stop, he became aggressive, shouting and throwing tools and wood down dangerously. I felt threatened and unsafe in my own home. Totally unprofessional, dishonest, and intimidating. Do not hire him.

Neat and Tidy did a great job of tidying up our garden in a rental property. They gave a quote based on photos and did phone on the day to say that the scope of the job was much bigger than originally thought, so the cost was higher but this did reflect the state of the garden. Beware of these people – they do not honour their work! It cost me £1000 for a grey water pump plus over £500 installation cost (connect three wires and two pipes) to install a replacement pump for the one that has been working fine for a number of years until they touched it. The new pump extract water at 20 L a minute the old pump was 11 L perm. Because the water level buildup in the shower when the overhead and handheld spray are on at the same time I am told I can’t do that. I have to turn one off!!
