The price eventually quoted was deemed fair for the job. Given the age of the original post and therefore the weathered state of the brickwork, the finished repair looks great, the quality of the bricklaying and match of the bricks is just fine. I am self employed tradesman qualified in carpentry, who also has a HNC in construction. I work for both builders and direct for clients carrying out general first and second fix carpentry as well as a few general building tasks. I work closely with a few other trades so if the job requires more than one trade then I am happy to sub let out to more qualified personnel.
