Job completed, was surprised that they had to go back out to buy the part, one plastic elbow joint and I thought the charge of £120 to replace it was excessive. Would not use them again.

If you knew plumbing joy then you would know not all plumbers can carry thousands of variants of each part. Why put budget of 100 if you intend spending 30 or 40. We had to go to 3 different places for part, and if there was a query with the payment you should have said and we could have negotiated! As for the 20% vat im afraid this is law joy. Its a shame that we have had such positive ratings and you could have discussed this with us face to face rather than underhandedly.

Thank you for your response. With regard to budget the category "up to £100" is the lowest limit one can specify on this site, with regard to VAT there was never any suggestion that this should not be paid. My husband accepted and paid your bill at the time it is only subsequently that we have found out from others that this was an excessive amount to be charged for this work. Our mistake was not getting a number of quotes before instructing you to do the work. We will not make this mistake again.

And it stated pipe, until you see what pipe/fittings you dont know what you need?
